Pierce is ALWAYS fucking flawless #The thing about this scene is that this is not the first time Brittany has defended Santana like this—you can hear it in her voice #People have been saying that Santana is a bad person for years and Brittany’s sick of it #She’s probably defended Santana a hundred times like this—from bitchy Cheerios who think Santana is this loathsome evil skank #from peers who can’t believe that Santana has a good intention anywhere in her heart #from all the people who have ever asked Brittany how she became best friends with someone as mean as Santana when Brittany is so nice. #Brittany sees Santana when nobody else does #She knows that underneath the vicious words and the quick temper there’s a girl who thinks and feels and loves#Rachel Berry may want everything too much but Santana just wants one thing more than anything: love #Santana puts up walls but secretly hopes that people will care enough to climb over them or break them down #and so far Brittany is the only person who has ever taken the time to do that #But because she’s done that Brittany knows: it’s so worth it to take your time with Santana and to get to know her#because you know what? Santana is the awesomest girl Brittany knows #Santana isn’t really just this ruthless bitch; Santana is the girl who will drop everything to bring you a soda #when you feel sad and boop you on the nose in plain sight of everyone to make you feel better #never mind her reputation. #Santana is this giant goofball who does dorky dances to get your attention when she really wants it. #Santana has all these nerdy references that she makes to cartoons from the 70s and old time movie stars #that most kids nowadays don’t even know about. #Santana has dimples when she smiles her real smile and she cries over the littlest things #like sad movies and when people do nice things for her; Santana never expects it when people do nice things for her. It’s always #a surprise. #Santana is the biggest sweetheart in the whole world. She remembers important things and keeps the things she loves close to her. #Sure she might have a hard time letting people in and yeah she says mean things sometimes—er a lot of the time actually—but #there’s so much more to her than that. #Santana is the most beautiful kind and thoughtful person Brittany has ever met. #Everybody thinks she’s a bad person but she’s not #and Brittany just wishes that everyone else could see how beautiful Santana really is because to her it’s the plainest thing in the world: #Santana Lopez is a good person
